General Information
Our Private Pilot Licence (PPL) course builds directly on your Recreational Pilot Licence,
expanding your skills into cross-country navigation and advanced flight operations.
During training, you will learn to navigate using aviation charts and traditional techniques,
while flying across diverse airspace environments including controlled airports such as
Canberra (Class C) and Bankstown (Class D).
The course is structured for full-time completion in approximately 12 weeks, with flexibility
for students who have already completed their CASA PPL theory examination.
A Private Pilot Licence allows you to operate aircraft anywhere in Australia, carry up to
five passengers, and share flight costs. Ongoing currency requires periodic flight reviews
and recent take-offs and landings for passenger carriage.
After completion, you can progress into advanced aviation pathways including night flying,
instrument ratings, and aerobatics.
